Irene Abaya Gwilt
Irene started working as an all around in her mother's canteen in a compound in Paranaque, Metro Manila. She started cooking Pinoy food there at 9 years of age: breakfast, chicken adobo, burgers, sisig, French fries, coffee, etc.
Their customers were company executives, accountants, factory workers, security guards, tricycle drivers and walk in friends and neighbors.
She started this Vegan Tribe Cafe on February 20, 2024 in her home with her husband and 3 children.
They and their family watched "Earthlings" which was narrated by Juaquin Phoenix. They and their whole family decided to "Go Vegan" in 2013.
A daughter was born in Manila in 2008. In the USA a boy was born in 2013 and a girl in 2014. All of the children now work in the cafe.

Overseer Timo Gwilt
Timo has founded and operated several businesses in the past. While in the military service he decided he always wanted to be self employed after getting out. Before getting his draft notice he had worked as a burger and egg flipper at a fast food restaurant in the USA. He could flip 48 burgers at a time!
Other jobs he had were mowing and raking lawns, selling concrete products, selling shoes, repairing acrylic partials and dentures as an assistant to his dad in the dental clinic where his dad worked.
Later he sold furniture in a furniture store his dad opened with a partner.
As a teen he went off to college and studied Theology.
After meeting Irene online he flew to Manila, dated her and got married. Now we are a family of five.
In 2024 he graduated, at a Korean university in the Philippines, with with a degree in Theology. He is now founder of an "Assembly of Yahuah Vegans", a real names assembly of followers of YAH.
Irene is our favorite chef ever!
We are grateful to her mother for having taught her so well!
We think Irene will be your favorite chef too!
Irene and Hannah are both baristas.
